Tennis is a sporting discipline that requires everyday work, the utmost rigor, intense physical training and a daily questioning attitude. Tennis also allows to share many values such as ethics, generosity, team spirit or fair play. These values are common to the corporate and the sports world.
Moreover incentivizing young people has always been important to Codic. And which better way would there be to do so, than through a sporting activity for which you must give the best of yourself? This is why Codic has been sponsoring the CODIC OPEN Tournament for many years. It is organized by Michel Bouhoulle and is one of the three most relevant BTP ***** tournaments in Belgium. A not-to-be-missed event of the season with the support of a charming Ambassador : Sandrine Corman.
For a long time now, Codic has also been supporting a Pro-Team, which rose through the ranks over the years to reach and hold a D1 position.

Codic Open 2024
A page is turning for me at the professional level as I retired as CEO of CODIC on March 1st. I served there for 26 years. This career gave me everything: the challenges to be met during crises, the rehabilitation of city districts such as the North District in Brussels, the Place Saint-Lambert in Liège, the Royal-Hamilius site in downtown Luxembourg, etc. I had the opportunity to meet many political, business, art and sports personalities. I travelled extensively.
I have also always loved linking sport and business. Sport like business has brought me so many things: challenges, respect for the opponent, rules, surpassing oneself. That’s why CODIC has sponsored the CODIC TENNIS OPEN for 16 years. It started with a men’s story. I directly adhered to the project and the principles of Michel Bouhoulle. How many steps have been taken... Today it is one of the most beautiful tournaments in Belgium with its bunch of Series A players and an exceptional level of participation which increases every year.
Congratulations my friend Michel for what you managed to create. You can be proud of yourself.
I pass the relay to the new generation of Managers: the new CEO, Vincent Beck, as well as the Managing Director of Codic Belgium, Christophe Jacobs, who will continue, I am sure, to support this unmissable event of the summer.
I wish you a fabulous tournament. Always go further in your motivation and performance, higher in your ambitions and dreams, stronger in your sportsmanship and human qualities.
Like the two champions Federer and Nadal, we can be friends and opponents. That is the magic of sport.
